Planting the Seeds of Student Wellbeing : Schools as Core Social Centres (SACSC)
On 24th of July the Director of Catholic Education, Mr. Stephen Elder, along with representatives from CEOM's Student Wellbeing team, were invited to St.Peter's School in Clayton to launch the Schools as Core Social Centres Progress Report [pdf, 945kb] and also to take part in a tour around the school's ever flourishing community garden.
The warm and generous welcome from staff, students and families from the school community, highlighted the great commitment to the garden and the positive way of engaging the whole school community.
The Director was then asked to plant an olive tree with some of the students to celebrate the event. Following this, lunch was provided including pumpkin scones and dip from the garden produce. The afternoon was a great success.
