The Examination Process
Thesis Submission and Examination
- PhDs
Your thesis examination will be administered from the Melbourne School of Graduate Research (MSGR), in the 1888 Building. This means that when you are ready to submit your thesis for examination, you will submit it to MSGR.

- DEds
Your thesis examination will be administered from the Melbourne School of Graduate Research (MSGR), in the 1888 Building. This means that when you are ready to submit your thesis for examination, you will submit it to MSGR.

For information on how to prepare your DEd thesis for examination, please follow the guidelines in the PhD Handbook with one exception.
Under Order of Contents Title page,
instead of writing:
"Submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (with coursework component)"
please write:
“Submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements of the degree of Doctor of Education (with coursework component).
- MEds
