Incoming Study Abroad and Exchange Students
Whether you are majoring in education or interested in gaining an introduction to Teacher Education, studying Education at the University of Melbourne is a great way to explore new areas of learning.
Undergraduate Subjects
Students undertaking an Education major at their home institute may be eligible for School Experience: International, a practicum subject which includes observation visits and teaching experience in a local school or early childhood setting. Please note that as the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and the Bachelor of Education (Primary) courses are currently being phased out, the subjects are not available for Study Abroad and Exchange Students.
Education Breadth subjects are available to incoming Study Abroad and Exchange students, and are favoured among students from many disciplines as a chance to explore a range of fresh learning perspectives.
Graduate Subjects
The Melbourne Graduate School of Education offers generalist and specialist Graduate Coursework and Research degrees, which are accessible to students on Study Abroad and Exchange programs. Graduate students can choose from a broad range of interest areas including Language Education, Curriculum, Special Needs and Educational Leadership.
Graduate Students interested in undertaking a Study Abroad or Exchange program at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education are encouraged to contact the Education Student Centre for more information. Please note that the subjects offered in the Master of Teaching degree are not available for Study Abroad/ Exchange students.
