| Seed to Forest
SEED TO FOREST was developed to promote 2011 International Year of Forests: For the sake of present and future generations, we need to raise awareness in order to manage in a sustainable way, protect and preserve the forests of our world.
This DVD follows the children's study of forests and forest life.

| Woods and Forests
WOODS AND FORESTS celebrates children’s artistic responses to the natural environment and their place within it. Working with groups of 3-5 year old children, teachers promoted activities of care, curiosity and wonder for the life of trees within an Australian context.
Through inquiry-based learning that encouraged perception, exploration, expression and reflection, the children investigated the ecology of trees, including growth, the results of forest bushfires and trees as habitats for animals. Children also explored, through fantasy and imagination, the magical experience of being part of the forest world, which included a nest building activity.

Boorai - The Children's Art Gallery presents local, national and international exhibitions that stimulate and challenge audiences to recognise and value the personal and socio-cultural comments expressed by children through their art and stories. These symbolic representations and related documentation, support research activity and provide teachers and parents with further understanding of the ideas, beliefs and abilities of young children. In an increasingly global community, Boorai - The Children’s Art Gallery gives emphasis to exhibitions which foster inter-cultural understanding for children, families and the wider community.
Our Virtual Galleries contain a selection of artworks from current and former exhibitions. Free viewing.

About ELC |
 |
| The philosophy of the ELC is based on an image of the child as capable and inquisitive and encompasses a commitment to creative and expressive learning through artistic exploration. A primary aim of the Early Learning Centre is to develop learning experiences that reflect positive attitudes and perceptions about all people and the environments of the world we live in; and to instil in children personal qualities such as empathy, integrity, respect and tolerance. |
